[As one of the neighbors, she hears that scream. And she arches and eyebrow, even glancing on outside the window when she does because wow, that sounded pained. Is someone in trouble?
[It feels like she lost her daughter; even if Lizzie wasn't hers and never would be. She's no fool. She has little hope that the next time Lizzie comes here they can be friends again.]
She spoke of you in her letter. Perhaps you would like a look.
[It's hard to be in the house, even if Glitch is there. Lizzie is gone and she can't bring herself to be near the room. Instead, she's up on the roof, staring up at nothing in the particular.]
[Grune is looking through her journal as happily as always when she catches Grell's message. For all her words are composed--even efficient--what lies beneath her voice is not.
It doesn't matter if Grell isn't a very nice person. No one should have to be hurt alone.]

[ the scream of course rouses Glitch, who's been doing the dishes after breakfast. he gasps and very nearly drops a plate, but it is saved and he works on drying his hands on his trousers as he goes to investigate. ]
Miss Grell? Wh-what's-- is Miss Lizzie all right?
[ he's all doe-eyed and anxious and while he suspects the answer is "no", his optimism dictates he live in hope. ]

[With the letter clutched to her chest, Grell is fighting against letting anyone see her this upset. She doesn't want anyone to see her cry for God's sake, least of all her last remaining housemate. Of course, that leaves her with only one option: anger.]
What do you think?!
[Grell turns and gestures angrily at the empty room.]
[ Glitch winces and wrings his hands, then cautiously peers into the room. oh. ]
She...she's gone? [ obviously, yes, but this is an aspect of Luceti Glitch still doesn't quite grasp. the only person he knew that has left is Lina, and...a he'd felt terrible when he realized she had gone. ]
[Grell wants to yell, but Glitch is just...so not the type to yell at. It's not even his fault and yet she wants to blame him. But misplaced anger got her in trouble once here and chasing off the only person left in the mansion would make Lizzie upset. Instead, she takes a deep breath and points to the ink stain on the carpet left when Lizzie was taken midsentence.]

It's a while before Archie answers. When he does, he's not sure why he is.]
I'm sorry.

And here I would think you and yours would rejoice. I've that much less to protect now.

[Especially not with someone like Grell, who needs all the virtue she can get or they're all doomed.]

[He'll save his own frustration for later. Grell comes first.] Are you all right?

Grell? You sound sad. Are you all right?

[Yelling at her will accomplish nothing, so Grell manages to reign her anger in - just barely.]
