In regards to children w/ ASD early intervention is a must just, appropriate intervention In case this was interpreted as "do nothing" in response to autism. but one must intervene with sensitivity to a child with autism's needs. (And sometimes adults with ASD need assistance/intervention, depending on their level of functioning-the same caveats apply)
(if this effects any readers, see links on the aspergers page, do extensive research, be pro-active, trust your instincts & again, remain attuned to a child with autism's unique strengths, challenges & sensitivities-- there's more to life than learning the alphabet and sitting still in a chair--they'll get that in school for 14 years-don't worry)

'Please, God, don't let it be breast cancer.'
Now I can't tell you how much I wish it was breast cancer."
