First day in the car with a stick, short version:

RETARDED DOG RUNS RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY CAR.

Dog is freaking lucky I didn't feel like shifting into 3rd gear in a residential zone, because if I had, it'd be trippin'. And by trippin' I mean dead.
