Hey everyone. So I came home today, and I yet again realized the joys of having a first name whose gender isn't totally obvious [to Americans]. As I checked my mail today, I got a letter from "Nationals, Incorporated," a modeling agency of some kind. I am still quite amused about this, here's an excerpt from the letter I received:
Dear Ritesh,
My name is Patty Neidert. I am a Coordinator for this year's 2005 Syracuse Pageant that is a preliminary pageant to the Cities of America National COmpetition that takes place in Orlando, Florida. I'm writing to you today, to let you know that you are eligible to participate in this years 2005 Syracuse Competition. You have been referred to me as a possible candidate who may enjoy modeling in front of an audience and learning modeling routines that enable you to accomplish your goals on stage. Judging is based on personality, casual wear and formal wear modeling. There is no bathing suit or talent competition involved in this year's pageant. I would be happy to personally meet you, as I meet other ladies.
ROFL, I'm SO disapointed that I won't be able to model in the swimsuit competition! DARN, I think I could've won then ;-). Ok, so they think I'm a girl. Who the hell referred me as a "possible candidate." Lol, ah well, its all crap anyways, they probably mailed it to every girl (or girl sounding?) name they got ahold of. :-)
Anyways, today was a really good day, no unusual bouts of stress included. I was being attacked by tremendous allergies (the story of my life) this morning, and I also had a lesson. I was really out of it, but I managed to get by. I finished my clay sculpture piece, and its ready to dry over the weekend, before it gets fired in the kiln. It better not explode.... I finished my dissection in AP Bio, Josh and I removed the brain today, it was quite disgusting, as I cut through the skull. Ok, so we dissected a fetal pig right? So it's pretty much all developed, but the eyes are still covered under a flap of skin. Josh and I couldn't obviously tell where the eyes were, so he was cutting down the head and suddenly, SPLAT, we're both covered in the pig's EYE JUICE. Josh had accidentally cut through the eye. It was very unpleasant. The cutting today sounded like the sound that's made when you cut through carrots, onions, and other textured vegetables. TOK was fun, we watched Don Quixote, the ballet in 260. I'd have to say it was the best TOK class in terms of interest level. We watched Chocolat in IB french again today. Hurray for the pseudo-sex scenes! ;-) I went down to the band room 8th period again today, and attempted to get some playing done, but it didn't happen. 9th period, I went to the band room and played more duets with Amber, rather than playing in Orchestra with the sub. The duets went really well, and there weren't any painful parts. So Amber and I discovered that we're some of the most indecisive people ever, details not necessary. So after 9th period, I wrote Amber a "steamy note," which I personally delivered to her locker. Don't worry, its just a joke, but she hasn't read it yet, so shhhh!
I had a fun violin lesson after school today, and now I'm home. Welcome, three day break.
Enjoy.
