Mid-Week Rant
I didn't realise doing almost nothing except faking smiles, making small talks, and moving around can be so draining. Of cos, there was the fire-fighting at a client's site to wrap it all up.
I sat at the couch spacing out for a good ten minutes before heading home. -
Good news in bad times!
In times of recession, such news is almost equivalent to striking the lottery.

Masquerade
The whole idea is to see it all as a masquerade.
Wear a mask and impersonate someone. Pretense is key.
As much as I love it, it freaks me out to imagine what I'd turn out to be many years from now. It's hard to find the equilibrium, retaining my true self and trying to achieive the above.
Me no want to join the Dark Side.

A conversation held the other evening on a cab, with Bee..
Me: 他们说属鸡的人，今年黑色会带来好运. (They said Black is this year's lucky colour for those born in the year of Rooster.)
Bee: Is that why 你在养你的黑眼圈? (Is that why you are nurturing your dark eye circles?) -
Starting The Ox-picious Year
...with illness.
Flu for two weeks, followed by fever and then back to flu with sore throat.

Another Lesson Learnt
One of my 'M's earned his first million when he turned 29. He's not exactly a risk-taker, but when he does identify an opportunity, he goes for it big-time. I might not agree with all the decisions he make, but I truly admire him for his visions. Christmas Eve this year was a cozy affair, with a few close pals, alcohol, chit-chats and a DVD where two of them watched with their eyes closed. It's amazing how they did it, really.

Vietnam 2008 - Hanoi
So I was back in Vietnam again this December, 'cept that this time it's up north instead of Saigon. This time we were abit more adventurous - Pumpkinz came into Vietnam via bus all the way from Hong Kong, and we stayed in one of those backpackers' dorms for one of our accomodations. We no like the latter.
