My daughters' preschool teachers sent thank you notes via mail. In public school, I get the occasional thank you email for gifts.

We got separate (mailed) notes from all of Anya's teachers we've gifted, and while both of Ez's sent separate notes last year, none did this year. There were general thank-yous in the monthly newsletter.

Er, embarrassed to admit I have no idea when you friended my LJ because I only just now looked at my profile for the first time in probably a year... Hi!

My kids' preschool teachers sent mailed notes specifically thanking for the particular gift we gave. At FSA they do an optional gift pot and we got a thank you note in the homework folder.
