I've been working on a lot of personal work recently. After The Sketchbook Project, I missed working digitally so I made a few illustrations for fun. I love illustrating versions of children's tales because everyone is familiar with them and there are so many interpretations. This is my version of Red Riding Hood:

Yay!! That's actually a really great idea for a costume! Maybe I'll be red riding hood for Halloween 2011! (I'll make it myself of course. I already have the picnic basket!)

Love these so much, especially the trees and the flowers!! :3 Great choice of palette too, love the muted colours and the use of orange.

This is the first time I colored this way. I really like the mature palette for childrens' drawings. Definitely out of my comfort zone but still fun nonetheless :)
