Airline sacrifices goats to appease sky god

KATHMANDU (Reuters) - Officials at Nepal's state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft, the carrier said Tuesday.

Nepal Airlines, which has two Boeing aircraft, has had to suspend some services in recent weeks due the problem.

I know. I read this and just shook my head for a while. What can you do or say? If people insist upon 'magic' to fix problems...I don't know, it makes me sad and angry and just so damn frustrated. I only hope they employed some engineers at the same time. Sometimes the world is truly horrible isn't it?
I particularly adore goats too. One of my childhood friends had angoras as pets and they were gorgeous! They loved cuddles and kisses and kid of 'chirped' whenever they saw us. Mind you, being head-butted by an affectionate goat is more fun for them than you but,-my foolish heart always melts at such trust and affection.
