Yeah, I know. I love food metaphors for gaming. There are few that come close, being as it is a thing that is a matter of taste. But here we go, let's try another one (technically, another simile):

A former boyfriend of mine once said (regarding one of his exes) "You put up with a lot that you otherwise wouldn't when you're getting some." This is as true for bad games as for bad relationships. You know in your brain that you are not happy with the situation but the emotions keep telling you that it's going to get better if you hang in there just a little longer. If anything, bad games are a bit harder to quit due to the fact that there just aren't as many people who are interested in role-playing as there are that are interested in relationships. Quality vs. quantity is its own debate.
