I don't know why they don't tell us that it's terribly serious and then tell the people who care about us and are all freaking out already that it is terribly serious. I guess because they figure if our loved ones are concerned enough, they'll twist our arms to make sure we take proper care of ourselves. Don't trust me to do the right thing: trust Aileen to make me.

I'd totally have gone to see the Michael Bay Transformers movie if they'd looked like they were at least this interested in the concept of anthropomorphized transforming robots.

I'm very glad to hear that you're okay. Clots can be very sneaky and if they embolize they're had to fix and you're very lucky to survive (and without surgery none-the-less). Sorry about the blood-thinners, but perhaps you won't be on them forever. That said, make sure you familiarize yourself with the symptoms of anemia and other things caused by internal bleeding (yeah, happy thought).

Anyway, the fact that you seem to be out of the woods is the most important thing. Maybe you'll find some good inspiration for writing about near-death experiences as a silver lining. I'll keep you in my prayers for good measure. But it could be worse, at leat you don't have to worry about giving up your birth control pills. I hope.
