Greatest Fears

So, new brainstorming exercise I'm playing with. It's actually kind of a bog-standard question: "What is this character's greatest fear?" If it's "new" to me, then I'm probably behind the times, right? Probably. But here's the context:

Though in all fairness, the latest lesson to spin out of this game is "Sometimes you just have to coerce a giant carnosaur mummy to cliffdive onto a minotaur's pirate ship in order to make a quick getaway," so I make no guarantees about how my insights may be universally applicable.

In order to vindicate your idea: I am deadly afraid of losing my vision and going blind. This is something happening to my grandmother who is a painter and I find this very, very difficult to support. I personnaly fear the incapacity to read. Books are my life. They define me. Blindness would make very, very desparate indeed.
