Sadness, loss, and, frustration

A friend has set me straight on the recovery period. The doctors and nurses, including me, always tell patients it should take about six to eight weeks to recovery from a major surgery like mine. But, I hear from my friend that it really take about 3 months to feel back to your normal self. I cried to hear this ( Read more... )

Erina! You rock... and i realize you're venting and actually have a very complex inner life which isn't all explained here, but you are allowed to feel all the things you do. You have every right to feel sad and frustrated, and you do not need to be happy and upbeat all the time for us to love you, or for you to love yourself. That being said, everything will be good eventually, i feel it in my bones. And if you tell me about your surgery, i'll never say gross, i'll just be interested...
