Best day yet.

I started taking a vitamin with iron and a separate iron supplement on Monday after the doctor told me I should have been taking one all along since surgery. Funny thing is, they never gave me a vitamin in the hospital nor did they include the fact that I should be taking one in my discharge info. I had vowed to myself that I would do it on my own ( Read more... )

Take back the poker magazine (that sort of gambling and "risk taking" with your finances is NO way to manage your money but rather mismanage your assets)and, with your refund, invest in a good cast iron pan or Dutch Oven. If you cook in the thing you'll get plenty of iron in all your foods. And then, of course, the Montpelier source of iron: KALE, baby! Lots of Kale. Or even Spinach. Yeah. Red meats are another good source. Iron makes your dukie black sooo . . . be prepared.

Glad to see you kickin around. It was no duck walk, and you certainly seem to have a prance going.

I am good at poker, so I won't be returning that mag and I already bought the cast iron dutch oven. I can't eat those types of veggies yet. But thanks for the tips. I always thought greenish black dukie was special.

Smart Money will probably list "don't gamble" in the top 5 tips to managing money :-)

If you ask me, we should just buy lots of scratch tickets.

Nope. Invest in Money Market accounts and a good CD (HSBC) at 9 mo. @5.%

Stay away from "black holes".

Rates are variable by offering. 9 month @5.4 matures, then another @5.4 would involve an 18 month abeyance. So, a wait of 3 more months would yield 10.8, plus yield on 1st 9 months.

NO SCRATCH TICKETS!!!!!!!!! (well, maybe one or two now and again for the fun of it. And ya might get "lucky" and fuck the odds. But actually succeeding at it (wealth or just a good haul) is mathematically an improbable history.

Again, STAY AWAY FROM BLACK HOLES! You'll stretch too thin. It's best to stay on the three dimensional track. Otherwise, how would I know you when I see you? You'd have no need of a digestive tract, and I simply can't imagine you without a good and grilled keilbasa in your hand.

Well, yesterday I took quite a long walk, to St.Paul near Kerry's Kwik Stop and then back home. Then Rachel and I went to her parents for dinner, so that's 4 hours of sitting up in a chair and the car. When I first woke up I was very sore having to take 1000mg of Tylenol, 2 dilaudids and 3 puffs of that special tobacco blend I like, (wink, wink) to relieve my soreness. Therefore, I think I would say 50%. I hope that figure increases steadily by the 28th 'cuz that's back to work day for me. Thanks for askin' How are you doing?
