Good evening, my fellow Vermont voters...

I am sure I am not the only person to listen to the Sanders/Tarrant debate last night. And I doubt that anyone I know would even vote for Tarrant so I'm probably preaching to the choir with this post but here goes anyhow. Rich "the Tyrant" Tarrant, pointed out that no one on the Fletcher Allen board of directors was indicted in the Renaissance ( Read more... )

" . . . is that just because the government does not have all the resources to investigate whether or not a crime occured, it doesn't mean that one did not occur. As a curious voter I wonder if the Fletcher Allen board had been investigated would we see more people in jail defrauding the ( ... )

I'm not taking a particular position by wondering about certain questions. I just thought it may prompt a spirited discussion as you suggest.

A point of information, the charges from the Fletcher Allen scandal stemmed from lying on the Certificate of Need(CON) application not from IRS filings. The CON is a state process whereby any healthcare expenditure over X dollars, I forget how much, is subject to review by BISHCA, the state agency in charge of regulating banks, healthcare facilities, and insurance companies. The federal charges came about due to the fact that Flecther Allen gets federal dollars through medicare.

Oh, I'm sorry. I just reread your comment after I replied and realize you were making the IRS reference to their personal income taxes and not Fletcher Allen's.

To clarify my post, if you read the story on the Free Press on 10/14 they raised many questions about the board and Tarrant's handling of the information they had about the situation. That alone made me wonder if some wrong doing may be going uninvestigated. Coupled with my jury experience where we were told outright that many crimes must go uninvestigated due to lack time and resources, I'm still curious.

I just reread my Comment, too. I was watching the Board while I wrote that. No, what I was focusing on was the implication of criminal wrongdoing even though an investigation -- for whatever reason -- cannot be executed. I was just following the line of reasoning. I don't know anything about the Fletcher Allen incident. Nor do I know about much else right now. I'M BURNED OUT!

BTW: Nice ass, I hear. Keep that ass groomed. Bend it sideways. You got it going for yourself. And it took no time with the support your loved one's gave.

xoxo

not to mention the FAHC board and its adminstration has openly admitted to spending patient care dollars on union busting and packing more for their salaries while the hospital is dangerously understaffed and completely filthy. anyone connected to the FAHC board/administration is complete trash. god i hope bernie wins...even if i'm not in vermont anymore...

oh and PS...if you get a chance to go on bernie's fundraiser cruise...its a ROCKING good time...although he probably already had it since its so close to the election. but there's always next time!

Just yesterday Rachel mentioned that Bernie is 20 points ahead in the polls. Let's hope it stays that way.
