Since last we spoke I have attended the 2015 Glasgow Film Festival. While it was good it wasn't as good as it has been for the past couple of years but to be fair last year was spectacular and this year was inevitably going to be found wanting in comparison. Saying that all 10 films I saw were interesting and enjoyable on some level. My highlights

Stunned at the power of the imagination always when I read about the range of films - I used to keep up with world cinema a lot more in younger life but don;t really manage it now at all

One of the things I find so annoying about the Oscars is they aren't even the best English language films in any given year, never mind the best films full stop. Lots of brilliant films being made out in the big wide world!
