I had a fabulous time in New York earlier this month. I went to the US Open to be dismayed by my tennis rebound boyfriend Tsonga, petted a police horsey, fed a goat and rode in a limo, what more could a girl want from the Big Apple? Pictures will follow...eventually ( Read more... )

Ooh, I just recently finished Burial Rites - I'm not sure I can really say I 'enjoyed' it given the subject matter, but I certainly found it gripping and very haunting, certain scenes have really stayed with me. A good, worthwhile read.

It feeding goats a typical tourist activity in New York?! :} There'll be trouble when Bartholomew finds out you've been feeding random quadrupeds.

It's normal for me!

Bartholomew was delighted to learn my manager is married to a descendant of the Duke of Wellington but mainly as it means he is also a descendant of 'good old, Babs, what a lady!'
