I have also recently finished Courtiers: The Secret Life of the Georgian Court by Lucy Worsley Did I give you that? I cant remember! I certainly meant to get it for you sometime :}
I'm rather jealous you got to see Sam West, but I'm inclined to agree with you about Checkov. I saw The Cherry Orchard at the Citz and although it was a good production, I found it terrible tedious.

I've already had to 'erm, ah...I use my personal twitter for...movie reviews...and stuff' when the doctor in charge of the study cheerily asked me what my own twitter handle was for the purpose of following. There's a rabbit hole I really dont want anyone looking down!

I wouldnt quite say I am converted to Chechov now but I would be willing to give something else a go. Not The Cherry Orchard though as I suspect that is very Three Sisters
