re the Victorian thingy - so far I only saw episode 1 and was disappointed partly by the historical vagaries and partly because I suppose I am not in any case keen on ghosty stuff. I could put up with the steampunk outfits of the female lead but the transposition of the rural attitudes of circa 1815-1840 to the 1890s rather brassed me off - but it might have got better by now.
