The new Mountain Goats album is, as will surprise a grand total of no one, awesome, and John Darnielle's Colbert appearance delighted me no end, both because he was as wonderful as ever, and because Colbert is so clearly a huge fan. I saw that interview! And researched goat jumping in college! It was a major moment in my life, to see mountain goats' jumping abilities highlighted on Colbert Report.

I loved when Colbert asked him "are you guys ready to blow up?" and he's like "Ive been ready for 10 years,"and my first thought, seriously, was WHAT WILL ESORLEHCAR THINK OF THIS?

At first I thought 40:2 was my favorite but after I listened to the whole album twice (streaming, going to buy it tomorrow) I'm not so sure anymore.
