OFFICIAL LJ CAROL SIGN UP POST!
Okay, so here's how I envision it:
There are two parts, and you can participate in either one or both (or neither, but if you're doing neither, then this post is not relevant to your interests)
PART A
Comment here with the song you want to sing. (If you need a partner for said song, this would also be the post to find one)
Record the song and send it to me. I can clean up the audio if necessary (not, like, out of tuneness or anything, but if there's background noise, I might be able to filter that out. I can also combine two separate recordings so that if you and a partner need to have your audio mixed together, I can do that) and put it to some kind of adorable video.
PART B
Let me know if you want to participate in the group song Jingle Bell Rock. I'll send you a recording that will kind of act as the conductor, so that we all sing in a tempo that's in the same ballpark. Record the song, send it to me, I'll mix it together with the other recordings and put it to an adorable video. (Right now I'm envisioning taking a picture of people caroling and replacing the heads with the default userpics of everyone singing. We'll see how far my time, talent, and energy takes me)
Send me your recordings by Friday, December 17 and I'll spend that weekend doing the necessary magic. I'll upload the resulting videos to YouTube by Monday, December 20th and then you can go around your flist, embedding the videos in comments and spreading some holiday cheer!

No, really, I CAN'T sing
Can you play an instrument? Send a recording of you playing! The awesome thing about an LJ carol is you don't have to worry about things like lugging a piano out in the snow.
I don't have a microphone!
If you make an LJ voice post, I can download that file and use it. If you have a cellphone and an LJ account, you have a lawyer a microphone!
