Cayliss had really only gotten to doze; those stupid humans kept waking him up for some reason. He didn't know what a 'concussion' was, anyway

He heard the humans moving about again. Dilandau shifted and checked on his sleeping kit in the bedding. Since Muraki was sleeping peacefuly he padded over and put his hands on the glass window. The major made an inquiring chirp as his tail swished. What were they up too?
Cayliss! He was alive too! Dilandau clawed at the glass and barked now. He even hopped up while scrambling at the slick surface. < "Mate! Cayliss! Over here!" > The beast whined as he called for the blonde.
It looked like he hadn't even moved on his own; his head lolled to the side, glazed eyes looking like those of a person who had completely lost the will to live.
Still, he was limp, hand hanging aimlessly and swaying with each step, his tail doing the same.
They paused a moment, the accompanying doctor helping to get Cayliss better situated again, and brushing blonde hair back from dead eyes.
Ter was awoken from a restless sleep by the howl from next door. He sat straight up, tail bristling, and found his arms full of frightened kit. Xander whimpered and buried his face in his father's chest as Ter crept forward to the glass. That howl had sounded scarily like Dilandau. Something was wrong. He reached the glass wall just in time to see a doctor carrying a nearly lifeless Cayliss down the hall.
["Cayliss!"] he shouted, desperate to be heard. ["Look over here!"] He held Xander up away from his body, causing the kit to let out a surprised, slightly frightened noise that could be easily heard through the glass. Ter nuzzled him to calm him, but he wanted Cayliss to see them both, on the off-chance that he happened to look their way.
It wasn't to be, however, as the doctors skirted the cage, not wanting to get a rise out of the obviously excited Mustang, nor take the risk of getting Cayliss agitated.
Cayliss, on the other hand, just stared over the doctor's arm, dead, hooded gaze almost meeting that of Fighter's.
Ter plopped Xander down on the ground, and the kit clung to his leg as he slammed both hands against the glass. ["Cayliss! Mate!"] His remaining eye was wide and frantic, and his ears were pinned back, not to mention his lashing tail. ["Bring him here!"] he shouted to the doctors, even if they couldn't understand him. ["Cayl!"]
Cayliss blinked, tears trickling down his cheeks and soaking into the doctor's coat.
"< I love you, >" he whispered, finally closing his eyes.
"Try and get them to calm down, would you?" asked the man carrying Cayliss. The accompanying doctor nodded, stopping and stepping closer to Fighter's enclosure.
"C'mere, boy," he said calmly. "Settle down, settle down."
Doc had watched through the window; it was... good to see a family reunion. At some point, he'd have to tell Jacobs. No doubt he'd want to know about this.
But when they broke away, that was what was interesting. The Edward seemed to be... doing something. He cocked his head to one side and watched, a bit confused.
He looked up at the watching doctor and began to draw. It was Cayl, Ter, dil and the kits all together as one family. Badly drawn stick figures but clear none the less. No Elric even trained by another more talented in art species, could draw worth didly.
Ter reached past Dil and picked up some of what the Edward was using to draw, sketching some obvious flames coming from the ends of the Mustang-figure's arms. Hopefully the doctor would be able to decipher the drawing.
They were drawing? Six figures altogether, three large and three small. The small were obviously babies. The others, though... Spiky flames from the hand of one, a braid on another. The third had a braid as well.

Cayliss didn't bother to turn a gaze on it, his half-closed eyes locked on the squint-blurred ceiling.
His automail clanked slightly as it shifted, but the doctor paid it no mind, readjusting the Elric in his arms to be more comfortable.
