What would lead you to believe that? The gaggle of cartoon characters, remakes of classic video games, and games aimed specifically at the preschool group is very suggestive of the makers' intentions.

On the other hand, as my brother initially suggested, the point of the system may be to reach out to people who would never play video games to begin with - young children, the elderly, housewives, teenage girls, college students who are not usually obsessed with video games, etc.

just that. I thought it was aimed at demographics outside of the traditional video-playing markets. I thought this meant old people since all the youngn's already have (the contemporary equivalent of) gameboys.

i also thought it was the videogame console that reached out to non-videogamers, and was generally intended for families, therefore mixed age groups. Like, gramma and grampa can play wii tennis, mom can do yoga, and the kids can play mario with their bodies.
