Here's what happened: some astronomer decided that he knew something about astrology, because he knew about stars and their positions. He declared that the constellations had shifted so far from their ancient positions, that Ophicius (or however you spell it) had to be included as an astrological sign. Some journalist got a boner for this idea, and soon it was all over the internet, misinforming people everywhere :/

Now that's what I call stupid.

Things changed a lo~ng time ago and the zodiac remained accurate enough all this time. Besides, astrology was done abstractly since the beginning so it's already inaccurate and we've lived like that since forever.
