[And with that, he sends a particularly stubborn Cactuar flying across the sky and possibly into some of his other esper buddies. Freaking Cactuar. He happens to glance in Terra's direction while in the middle of all this esper fighting and notices she's actually trying to TALK to them.]

OI! Are they from your world!?

[Terra glances over quickly, though she can't afford to take attention away from the surrounding Chaos for long.]

I don't recognize them all, but some are! They aren't usually like this; something's happened to make them violent and confused. They need our help--

[And discussion time is over for the moment, as she spots Ifrit's swift approach. The fire-based Esper growls and launches a blast of fire in their direction.]

ANOTHER one?!

[Excuse him while he jumps out of the way of that.]

Gomu Gomu no PISTOL! [Eat a stretched fist Ifrit! >=(]

[Terra likewise dodges the blast, though barely. Not seeing any other choice but to help subdue him, she watches Ifrit stagger back from that blow, then adds a Blizzara spell. The resulting roar makes her ears ache.]

Please, Ifrit! Come back to your senses!

[Unfortunately, the Esper doesn't seem willing -or able- to listen. He charges forward once more...]

[By now, Adell's in the midst of combat, fighting waves of powerful looking demons summoned into town. He's doing a spectacular job beating them down with his bare hands. After punching out a rather large foe, Adell looks over his shoulder to check for more threats. Instead, he sees the familiar purple glow of Terra's Esper form flying by.

He immediately breaks away from the area he was in to meet up with her. He'll be running along the ground as fast as he can. Unsurprisingly, the orange aura that normally accompanies Adell when he's pushing himself looks far more intense than ever before.]

Terra!

[Terra's glow is likewise brighter, though otherwise her appearance is the same. She perks up when hearing his voice -barely- and moves to descend. Not touching the ground, Terra nonetheless is now close enough to speak without shouting--or would be, without the noise surrounding them.]

Adell! Some of these are Espers! I've seen them behave like this before, but we have to help them stop---

[And then, her eyes widen as she stares past Adell. Beyond him is a quickly approaching figure, a very familiar one with horns and silver hair....]

Father! No!

[Adell quickly spins when he see Terra look away from him. An incoming Esper was headed this way and...

F-Father? That's Terra's...? Oh hell. For right now, Adell readies himself defensively. There's no telling what might happen here...]

[As he approaches, it becomes clearer that Terra's father isn't heading for her, but Adell. There's nothing in his eyes or expression that indicates a rational being, not now. Instead, the power within him builds and Terra charges mid-air to shove Adell out of range before it can be directed at her friend. She knows what Maduin is about to do, but there's no time to further plead with him.]

[Said just as she's darting away. Setzer can find her outside, hovering near the house and doing just as she said. Unfortunately, most of the Espers -and other creatures?- either ignore her efforts or attack. Terra's forced to cast Slow or Stop, reluctant to harm any of them. Yet those are only temporary measures at best....]

[Since he can't simply leave her to it, Setzer comes hurrying outside. He might not be great in a fight, but he's going to try.]

[Terra is flying a bit erratically, trying to dodge hostile Espers and their attacks. She manages to land for a moment, on a tree branch...but her eyes widen as she glances up to spot a large, colorful bird. Setzer might recognize it as Quetzalli but Terra, thanks to time differences, doesn't recognize the Esper at all.]

Wait, let me help you---

[But the Esper isn't listening. Instead, it dives to attack.]

We've got to hold them off or they'll destroy the village...

[There's a sound of a shuriken flying and hitting something.]

But keep trying your way! If they'd listen to anyone, it's you.

I'll do my best!

[Said as she's darting away. Shadow can find her in Esper form near her house, nearly slamming into a tree after Shiva sends a blast of ice that propels her toward it.]

I'll try and catch up with you!

[Shadow darts through the wreckage of town, past the mayhem of various summons wreaking havoc. He figured to go toward the house and sure enough that's where he finds her.]

[He sends a blast of fire at Shiva as a distraction, hoping to get Terra enough time to act...]

[Thanks to Shadow's efforts, Terra manages to recover and resumes her mid-air hovering, making sure to cast a quick Cure. After that, she likewise sends a blast of fire to keep Shiva at bay, though it's not aimed to harm her.]

I think the only way to get through to them might be to wear them down! Nothing else seems to work!

[Shiva prepares another blast of ice, and Terra is quick to cast Shell over both of them.]

[ She avoids the house, but nearly manages to crush into something... well, someone else. Aether makes a surprised sound as he steps aside with ease, only to turn around and shout after her. ]

Hey! Watch the traffic, why don't you!

[Quick to apologize, Terra nonetheless needs a moment to recover, hovering mid-air. At least responding proves that she's not quite like those berserking beings all around? She spots him but quickly glances around again, not wanting to be caught off guard by the next attack.]

[ He doesn't seem particularly spooked, in any case. More surprised than anything, and now curious when she's not flying at the speed that might cause some bystander serious injuries. ]

You should stick closer to the ground. [ He finally voices his concerns after a few seconds. ] At this point in time, all you shall be otherwise is an easy target.

[Terra sighs, wishing that weren't so but unable to disagree with the logic.]

I guess so. I just wanted to reach the ones higher in the air. They need to be helped, before they hurt themselves or others.
