I haven't any particular rankings of my own because this year I've been reading, watching and listening almost exclusively to the news - and I don't think I need to reiterate the years' major events here. Iceland tourism slashed prices quite a bit after the bankrupcy. If you fly from London in the spring or summer, you can purchase roundtrip airfare to Reykjavik for about CAD 300. So if it's feasibile for you to come to Europe next summer, tacking on Iceland won't be too far-fetched.
