Job Interview!

Jul 12, 2007 10:53

Had one this morning for a Grade 5/6 class. It's permanent, so I went ahead with the interview even though I don't think I'm too gung-ho about teaching Grades 5/6. Okay, I feel really rotten and selfish for *griping* about getting an interview for a permanent position, but... I don't know, I just feel like I sorta can handle the little ones ( Read more... )

I don't think you should feel guilty about griping (not that I really think it's griping) about the interview if you're not completely gung-ho. While it's great that you got an interview for a permanent position, it doesn't mean you have to be in love with the position. I know I've gone to interviews for jobs I wasn't wild about. However, it's a process you have to go through when you're job-hunting. Besides, if nothing else, it's a good opportunity to practice your interview skills.

I wish I was as efficient as you when it came to cleaning my closet! I finally started tackling it a few weeks ago but didn't come close to finishing it. I'm planning to download some podfic in the hope that it will help me face this hideous task. I know Doctor Who audio adventures helped me clean my apartment. *g*

Hope you enjoy the re-watch of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. While I'll probably buy the DVD, I don't have the heart to go see it again after what happened to my favourite character. *sniff*

That's what I took out of the interview - that it was a good opportunity to practice my interview skills. Just feeling a general blah, I guess, having to come in during the summer and interview. It's summer! I don't want to think about school!

I'm not usually as efficient with the closet cleaning, but this year, I was pretty brutal and just plodded ahead. I even managed to wash my beddings and whatnot earlier this year than I usually do. However, getting to the shoes and the paper sorting (argh! that is what's really making me drag my feet!) are chores I'm not looking forward to! Enough cleaning already!

I actually did enjoy the re-watch of Pirates! I was able to understand and appreciate the plot more instead of looking at teh pretty in the form of Orlando and Johnny. I found Will Turner got hotter when he took over for Davy Jones!

But what's this?!? Who is your favourite character? It must be someone who dies.... hmmm... James Norrington? And that's a wild guess based on the fact that he had a British accent...

I wasn't sure if I should say who the character was in case I was revealing spoilers. However, I'm guessing that anyone who might read this comment has already seen the film. So, yes, it's James Norrington. Jack Davenport is so tall and handsome and has that beautiful accent...Man, you know me just a little too well! *g*

LOL! I *knew* it! I have to agree with you on the accent there. Yay! I do know you pretty well when it comes to these British guys, I think ;oP

I try to be as ruthless as possible when it comes to weeding out stuff that I don't wear. I figure, if I didn't wear it the whole year, then I'm not gonna miss it. And yes, I clean out my closet to make room for the new clothes! The thing is, sometimes, I dig out clothes that I had forgotten about, and then I'm torn between keeping it or giving it away...
