Back to Pack

My former associate teacher sent me an e-mail last night to let me know she is coming in to the school today to pack up the rest of the stuff which belongs to the teacher I took over for. I promised my associate I would help her, so here I am, getting ready to go back into that classroom. *screams and runs like I'm in a horror movie* Seriously ( Read more... )

Thanks! I think I can handle the younger grades better too. I was a little down about not getting permanent, but I'm much better now.

We will definitely take lots of pictures in Vegas! I hope Criss Angel is around...

Considering how hard you worked, I'm not surprised you exhibited sloth-like behaviour for a couple of weeks after the school year ended. At least you've made up for it by finishing the closet clean.

I'm glad you survived packing stuff in the classroom. It sounds like it was at least partially worth it if you managed to snag three bins of books for $50.

Sorry the permanent Grade 5/6 position didn't work out. However, I agree with m_chronicles. I think you're probably better off teaching younger grades -- at least for the time being. Besides, it didn't sound as if you were totally sold on the position in your last post, unless you had a change of heart...Well, these things have a way of working out. Maybe you didn't get this position because there's a better position waiting out there for you.

Hope you have a blast in Vegas! I'm looking forward to reading all about it when you get back! :-)

Yes, I feel rather good about myself that the closet clean-out is over. I got one more thing crossed off my list today, and that was about filling out a government form online. So I am moving at the pace of a turtle, but at least things *are* getting done.

The classroom cleanout wasn't bad at all. The bargain books were the highlight of the day!

And you're right, I wasn't too keen on teaching 5/6 at all, so maybe things worked out for the best. I was a little down about not getting *permanent* (since it looks like every single one of my pals have managed to snag one!), but it's all good now.

I'll be inflicting a recap of Vegas when I get back, that's for sure!
