March Break came one week early this year, so I've been off from school for the whole week this week. Today is the last day, unfortunately, but I can't really complain because next week we have Easter weekend to look forward to!
I was social for most of March Break. On Monday, I finally had lunch with Nim after two years of not seeing her. We talked and talked and probably could have talked some more, but alas, I had to get home to feed Marlowe. Tuesday, I had planned to start on a ton of marking I have and edit my report cards and such, but alas, I slept in, bummed around, and was just generally lazy... Wednesday evening, I went out to the movies with two teacher buddies and we saw "Juno". I highly recommend it! I didn't particularly want to see it (I was more interested in seeing "No Country for Old Men") but I'm really glad they convinced me to see "Juno" instead. Great story and fabulous, witty dialogue! Thursday was the second of my two "down time" days, which, hehehe, went down the drain without much work getting accomplished (I got some Scholastic orders in, though! Yay!). And today is Friday. I tried to make brownies this morning and half way through me already having the chocolate and all the other stuff mixed in the bowl, I realize we don't have any flour! So my mixed bowl of chocolatey goodness is still sitting by the microwave as I type, awaiting flour... Ran around for 20 minutes outside, chasing Marlowe, so he'll get his exercise. Am currently eating Kraft Dinner...mmm, comfort food!
What a great ep to air before the hiatus! This is easily going to be one of my favourite eps: The story was amazing, the action was tight. Great use of Ruby! Limited appearance by Bela! Woo hoo! And we get a WED (white-eyed demon) instead of a YED (yellow-eyed demon) this time. It's a female demon named *Lilith*, which, sort of doesn't sit right with me after reading all the arguments that SPN has misogynistic tendencies, but we won't get into that now. In all accounts, Lilith is frickin' creepy. Then there's Henriksen. What a great way to turn him into a believer! It totally sucks they had to kill off the character, I actually liked the guy.
This one is for
rusty-armour: Did the scene when they invite the demons into the police station and they start shooting as they come in not remind you of the SPN fic, The 1300 Days? Maybe you haven't gotten to that part yet since it's a *long* fic, but there's a part in the fic where Dean single-handedly storms a club that was the nesting ground of a whole load of succubi and slaughters the whole lot of them. The scene totally reminded me of that fic!
And it's a given that I ogle Teh Pretty every time the show's on, but I have to say the ogling took a back seat to the plot of this one. Wow. Very impressed.
Oh, and some great news: It's official, SPN has been renewed for a Season 4 by The CW!!!
m-chronicles, we better get a move on planning our little trip to BC for this August! Hehehe!
And because I've been bumming around today, look what I found on YouTube! Hilarious interview with Jensen on Australia's Good News Week! The host, Paul, has Jensen playing a trivia game where he has to pick the same *incorrect* answer that people have given to some questions. Not only is Jensen funny in it, the frickin' answers are hilarious too. Go clicky:
