i know in retrospect everything is nicer, shinier, more fun... but i miss summer. when the weather is such that you start to think of 30 degrees as refreshing and genuinely enjoyable, it's kind of hard not to think back on those sweltering days. of course, i only remember the good parts, but for the most part, it was good. sitting in the backs ( Read more... )

well, i like winter... but i like summer too. heck, i like 'em all. i'm a sappy goon like that, and i love everything. :) it's not such a bad way to be, really...

I know that this has nothing to do with your entry. And don't get freaked out, but I was looking at something you commented and I noticed your picture. I just think you're gorgeous. Sorry if it freaks you out.

Funny thing... a buddy of mine who went to U of I and finished his masters last year was also from Austin, TX. It's not so much winter he misses, but the change in seasons -- that's the one thing I love about Illinois, you get the full effect of every season of the year. And the two weeks of sub-zero temps are making the rest of winter insanely easy. ;)

That said, just about everything I enjoy doing is a spring / summer activity. 'Cept gaming. Thank god for videogames.
