HP Fanart - Deathly Hallows

Aug 09, 2007 00:13

Just a sketch, made in a few minutes before the urge went away.

Here it is - my first Deathly Hallows pic! (Well, I mean after the Epic Tale of my getting the book...)

This scene's been drawn already, probably even more times than I imagine, but it still is one of the key part of the book. I remember being as frustrated as Harry was, unmoving but ( Read more... )

This is really how I expected Rowling to end the series. Until HAP, she followed the Arthurian legend pretty closely, only to jump to the left(*and take a step to the riiight...) at the end.

The rough sketchy quality you've given shows more emotion that a polished work ever could. Well done to you. Alorkin

That's how I DIDN'T expect her to end the story, only based on the fact that Hp was originally a series of book for children. But it could have been a pretty neat ending anyway.
I totally expected Arthur to die at the hands of Lucius, thought, like King Arthur. After all, she used the story of Rome for Albus and Severus...
So many theories we thought of- It was so fun while it lasted!!!

Thanks - that's how I felt too. I usually 'polish' my drawings (if only because of the challenge it gives me, 'cause I'm such an untidy person), but here I felt it would break the impression it gave...

Thanks! I wanted to make him look like he's crying, except that I don't know how to draw tears that don't look like big dark smudges...

Yr Harry is v. Beautiful, I like the Curve of his neck and Yr Hagrid is So pained. He looks like He is offering Something sacred to an Altar. I like this A lot.

I wanted to ask you Are you moving from LJ?

Thanks a lot! The curve of Harry's neck is actually the first line I drew. O.o Strange way to start a pic, I know.

To answer your question: no I'm not. At least not yet. I can't see myself closing that blog now to begin another one, or keep two of them - I'm already struggling with time with only that one... What about you?
