Whatever It Is That Normal Kids Get To Think About

Well, there went June.

Been up to even less than usual. Besides the job hunt and work, really not much happening. I finished some noteworthy anime recently, so I thought I'd tell y'all about that:

A Salaryman, a college student and a Ronin walk into a bar... )

stuffing my ears, at the movies, internet!, my fandom got me high, japanimation

I loved Arakawa and now to find out that the mangaka is the same as the one for Saint Young Men makes me love it all the more.

And OMG someone else who watched Tatami Galaxy. I thoroughly enjoyed the series. I loved the last two episodes. I also loved how they switched the OP and ED for the final episode. I thought it was very clever. There was just so much I loved about the series that I'm struggling to put it into words.

I couldn't get into House of Five Leaves though. I couldn't eve finish the first episode of it. :\

It's a great show; so glad they're doing a second season. The only thing that could be better is if SYM got picked up as an anime, but that will never happen. :/

THIS. SO HARD. I feel like I have a graduate thesis in me about what I felt when I watched it, but I could barely get out that paragraph up there. It spoke to me on so many levels, it was what I wish college could have been like for me.

House of Five Leaves was pretty and had an amazing OP, and sometimes that's enough to hook me.

Yes, me too. I was very very pleased to see that. I don't think they'd be able to get SYM picked up as an anime for television, but it could be possible for it to go the way of Hetalia with ONA episodes.

Same here. I might have to rewatch it one of these days and jot down notes as I watch it. The dialogue was very fast paced which made it a bit difficult to really contemplate while watching it.

Usually that's enough for me, too. But IDK, it just didn't grab me. I might have to give it another go once I'm all caught up on everything else.
