Color In Your Day

And here's some more music:

For a debut album, Squirrel Nut Zippers' "The Inevitable" is a damn good opener. The topics aren't as varied as their phenomenal senior record "Perennial Favorites", but they can still swing with the best of them:
"I Found A New Baby"
"Lugubrious Whing Whang">

Sun Kil Moon stays with the relaxing and the lo-fi whenever possible. "Ghosts of the Great Highway", while it does have one or two more 'up' numbers, is generally a chill affair. Mark Kozelek more than gets by on his talent as a singer/songwriter:
"Si Paloma"
"Pancho Villa"

The Tyde are some geeks that make indie rock music. Though their overly simplistic record titles ("Once", followed by "Twice" and "Three's Co.") might lead you to think that they're just another dime-a-dozen group, and you would be right, to an extent. While they don't have a lot of new things to offer the genre, "Twice" shows that they do what they do very well:
"Henry VIII"
"Crystal Canyons"

Max Tundra is a strange man that makes strange electronic music. The two songs off of "Some Best Friend You Turned Out To Be" that are worth sharing are both on the short side. If nothing else, I'm intrigued to see what he's done since then. But, uh, I'm not paying for it.:
"Tuli A Plain Ride From Canvas"
"6161"

Huh, apparently, there's a parade for the Giants in SF tomorrow... given the short notice with which it was no doubt thrown together, that could make for an interesting morning commute.
