I started this blog ten years ago today!! And it has been nine months since I last posted in it, having abandoned it because I've been blogging as elin_gregory instead! I feel all guilty now.

Ten years ago I was writing fan fic, illustrating fan fic and and listening to Bach and Nickelback.

Ten years ago? I was toddler-wrangling. Writing wasn't even a blip on the horizon, and I don't think I'd ever heard of fanfic! Or LJ, for that matter. I guess I was a late starter! :)

hmmm, 10 years ago. I was wrangling a houseful of adolescents (mine and many others.) They had set up the back room as a sound studio and were rapping bigtime. I was teaching for StL Public Schools, the most ungainly, uninspired, repressive school system you'd want or not want to see. Was I even reading fanfic? Can't remember....I must have been, because upon checking I see that I started LJ communication in August of '03,so I must have been writing in the spring. I had recently met a bunch of really really clever, nice people online who were doing that (eesayel, Sam, Loupnoir, Connie... :D )and I had to play too.

Ten years ago, I did not have this LJ yet, so I can't say what exactly I was doing this week ten years ago, but I was close to finishing my M.A. (the exams took place during that hot, hot summer) and liked to read and write Tolkien fanfiction.
