 Even though I now work in an academic library, occasionally I find titles that make me laugh.  An example is this week's winner of the "worst title" award:

Eat Thy Neighbor: A History of Cannibalism by Daniel Diehl and Mark Donnelly

Those GI Joes were pretty smart.  I have two unanswered questions dogging me at the moment (one concerns a job and the other concerns a personal relationship).  Of course there are answers to these questions that I would prefer over others, but right now I'd settle for KNOWING.  If I know, then I can react.  But for now I'm stuck in limbo.

Yesterday I found an real bookworm. It was burrowing through a Star Wars book and was gross. I squished it.

Yesterday I was contacted by the National Marrow Donor Program, who said I was a potential match for a cancer patient. Today I took a health survey over the phone during my lunch break. Today I did two klutzy things:

1. While tagging books, I fell out of my chair.
2. At Taco Bell, I spilled my fruit punch/pink lemonade mixture down the front of my shirt and jeans. The stains so far refuse to come out.

It was a very Bridget Jonesish day.

Last night at about 1:30, my phone started ringing, waking me from a deep sleep. My heart momentarily stopped and I braced myself for bad news. Why else would someone call at that hour unless a tragedy had occured ( Read more... )
