If girls tend to like guys who do these sorts of things than thats fine...

However.....

It occurs to me that asking a guys to "learn" from this is asking them to be ingenuine. Fine if they do it one their own but If they only do these things so that girls will like them more... well... thats just plain deceptive; and is that really what girls want? wouldn't it be better to have someone that says what they mean and does what they say? someone who you can trust their motives because they speak their mind?

Then again maybe I'm just bitter = )

haha ye i agree with you there Doug. It just wouldn't make sense if it wasn't genuine. I didn't really read the top part carefully, i just went cut and paste :P haha i'll go edit that somehow :P hehe thanks for pointing that out :P i did get it on a male's journal, if that makes any difference :P

Doug and Murph beat me to the punch, primarily because everyone single one of these had me screaming "HORSESHIT!" for a good half hour. Do you know how hard it is to maintain such a level of contempt and volume for 14 hours?! :(

Ingenuine is only half of it. I think if you really care about someone, then yeah, you'll be led to do these things - or things like them - as a way of expressing that affection. But just expecting it cuz' you're a chick is, to me, the epitome of inflated sexist entitlement. I keep coming 'round to Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets.. "Think of a man, then take away reason and accountability." ;)

I have to say that you boys are taking this way too personally. Having been in a relationship where he never once did anything on this list and now being in a relationship where he might not do all of the things on the list regularly, he does do some of them sometimes, I have to say the latter is much better. We don't want you to change or anything, but is this list really so impossible to do? Holding hands? Calling her beautiful? If this is so hard, then get the fuck out of the relationship cause your in it for the wrong reasons.

sigh. though I do think this is really a two way thing here, I mean what man wouldn't want to be called beautiful? :P

I assume I'm not included in "you boys", as I didn't even say anything regarding what I thought about all this.

After consideration, I'd say that these are all great things to do for your wife/fiancee/commonlaw life-partner. They will help the relationship through many hard times.

If you managed to check off all 28 or so in the first week of dating a girl, that could be construed as pretty fuckin' creepy.

The only real bone of contention I have is that it's not all stuff that "only real men do". I feel that instead how each partner should get treated is based on the length, depth and dynamic of the relationship.

Based on the source, the reason C-Katt posted it, and other things, I have no problems with this list other than what I've outlined above. =)
