Why don't you have that necky guide on the bottom left? You've got it on the right, and you've got more space because of the width of the ears.. So I think it seems unbalanced because it's hard to "see" the implied body connected to it. Um, hope that helps. :D
i think it's just still at at the border and needs to be pushed-- if you want to make one side darker-- really accentuate it. make it blatantly intentional. it doesn't have to be overdone and cliche, but pumping up the black on the left could help what currently just looks unbalanced to having a definitive purpose?
