Prom-ness

I need a prom dress. It is in a month. July 8th. Yes I left it too late but I didn't think I'd bother going.
I need a dress that turns heads, that I could stand wearing a shawl with all night because what with exams and bad eating habits my back is has broken out in some huge horrible way.
So I have options...

C -- My back to shoulder blades are badly scarred aswell as the bad skin sounless I wear short sleeves it's pretty obvious especially if I have a break out. I'm not too keen on taking anti biotics so I'll just have to grin and bear it.

I got my ball dress from a really amazing vintage shop in pimlico/victoria called Cornucopia. I'll just google it to get the address...

That's so weird... was in Victoria last week and I *swear* I saw that shop... really small? I only remember it for being such a cool name.

Are vintage/retro clothing shoppes in England as popular as they are in California. There are some vintage clothing shoppes on Melrose Drive in Los Angeles that are incredibly popular.

If you have bad shoulders, I would recommend what we call "puff gowns." They are long dresses where, instead of the shoulders being padded, they are elaborated puffed up, usually with frills. Almost Victorian in nature. Most of them come with half-sleeves. I went to a wedding once where the bride wore one. I wish I could find an example, but I don't visit clothing links often. I am sure you could wear it with a low bra, the ones girls usually wear with backless/strapless dresses.

Good luck! :)
