The sound is almost drowned out by the din of New Orleans night life. CeeCee hears it to, stopping and cocking her head to one side. I know where he is, where he has been. Mourning the loss of our dear Morningstar. Reduced to nothing but mere flesh and blood. I felt that tie break, one we shared for so long, gone in an instant. I send out a silent request into the beyond night, "My Jinn will support your claim." But they will not be slaves. I shouldn't have to tell him that. I suppose they are only mine now, as I am their Mother. I ( ... )

"My Jinn will support your claim. They will support you, should you need reinforcements."
Feel the air stir and a wave of desert heat washes over us. Her Jinn... no longer Theirs. Again, the anger of what happened consumes me. How dare they? "Thank you, My Lady. I hope be able to... persuade the others by my own force of will, but the offer is appreciated, and not taken lightly. Most should fall in line, they crave a leader. I believe it is only Tamiel and Moloch cause dissention in the ranks." Not weak adversaries in the least, but with time, I believe I can best them ( ... )
