A Glorious Voice is Silenced

Thank you Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau for singing so movingly and so beautifully, and giving us so much beauty and so much magic.

I've always pictured Aragorn Singing with his voice.

To my mind the world is a lot poorer now that he is gone.

That style has never been my cuppa, but he did sing very beautifully. I'm sorry he's passed away.

(And you posted!!! May this be the first of many!! Well, first of many posts but not all on somber notes, of course...)

Even when you do no like that kind of music, the beauty of the voice comes shines through, doesn't it?

Yes, I finally posted, and may do so again but not many times as I'd rather hog my friends' LJ space. LOL

That he did. Though he was at his best singing lieds, for me he will always be The Wolfram and The Hans Sach. No one will ever sing "O! du mein holder Abendstern" as movingly and as beautifully as he did.

I'm sure it won't happen too often, but now I know I can do it without messing it up. LOL
