I tried the online dating thing. I got tired of "Hey, you are beautiful I am looking to get married soon we should get to know each other and get married soon!" types of messages.

It's amazing the sheer number of guys (and, likely, gals, but I was only looking for/at guys) who very clearly don't read a single word on your profile page before messaging you and proposing marriage.

Oh, how I hate the fact that so many guys don't bother to actually look at the profile, but instead just send these useless messages.
I've even gotten marriage proposals. Is that supposed to be charming?!
I don't reply to those, either. Don't feel bad about it! If they don't bother to actually look at your preferences etc., why should you bother?
