I am so sorry. I will be a mess when I lose my dad.

I loved my grandma and I really, really wish I could have said goodbye and gone to her funeral.

Sounds like such a hard relationship. I am sure your dad loved you. Some people have such a hard time showing love.

I'm sorry for your loss - as far as the writing goes, I like the rawness of this piece a lot. And the way you formatted those final two "thank you"s, to the point that I could scroll down and see a completely blank screen with just "Thank you." in the center of it... it really hit me.
