The hard drive of my iBookG4 just decided it no longer needed to live anymore.  : /

I'm kind of devastated that a tad over two years of my life is just gone.. and that my laptop didn't even have the decency to hold out until it was paid off.

And, no, I didn't "back up" anything.  (whatever that means!)  -- wasn't there a Sex and the City episode like

Oh man! I mentioned Apple Care to Dave and he helped me look through my giant old laptop box.. and I found it! I feel foolish for throwing a $250.00 program in a box and never looking at it again. Thank you so much! I never registered it, so hopefully I can somehow get its use when it is truly truly needed! Thanks again!

haha You are completely right!! I shook the box and it felt like there could be more in it, so when I finally opened it there actually was a disk in it. I'm lazy and I don't read directions so I was just getting nervous thinking I had to put this disk into my broken computer (which would be impossible)

Luckily Dave came to my rescue and told me that you only use the serial numbers etc etc to register it.. the disk was just for special help.

Apple is fantastic!

haha comment completely unrelated to anything in this post. .

i tend to forget that LJ exists for months at a time, and when i remember, it is a glorious event and i get to read tons of hilarious posts from the past few months.

and in response to jess's comment from probably like 17 months ago. .you should totally write a book. FUCK buffstate. .lady. .you were born with all the skills you need to write an amazingly hilarious/well written novel, AND born into a family that has stumbled into so many insane situations that you have all the content you could ever ask for.
