Agents of SHIELD 2.11

Holy moly. This is like watching paint dry. The dialogue sucks, the acting is nothing to write home about... Plus, a bunch of boring characters with funny accents or diction are heartbroken over a character who wasn't actually that interesting, either. Can I please please please have more Agent Carter?

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to feel the same.

Sorry. I meant to come back and say that, yes, I do agree with you.

It was pants. I'm also very, very disappointed in Mr Bakshi. He folded way too easily. Plus he mispronounced the word 'sheikh.' I highly disapprove.

I did feel a bit sorry for Raina, but that may be because most of her scene were with Kyle McLachlan - easily the best thing in the show.

I got 15 minutes into this past episode, Skye started shout-whining, and I deleted it. I just can't do it anymore.

Hi Mike,
How nice to hear from you!!! So, you're still around LJ? I don't have the time to follow LJ dilligently, but occasionally I pop in for a quick scroll through my friends' posts...

Looks like I am not the only one who finds SHIELD annoying. What are you watching right now? And are you still writing?
Remember the Xander-and-Oz-as-kids fanfic that I wrote ages ago? I turned it into an original story and now I am writing a sequel. :) Haven't found a publisher for it, yet, but I haven't given up.

I check LJ about once a week. I really don't write anymore (nothing quite inspired me like the Buffyverse back in the day).

I've been watching "Better Call Saul." I liked "Breaking Bad," and it has a lot of the same qualities. "Gotham" is okay, but it's a couple of tweaks away from being much better. I like "The Walking Dead," but it feels like it's repeating itself. I enjoy "Agent Carter" (and was pleasantly surprised by it's not-SHIELD-ness) but the main character is surrounded by such idiots that it flirts with Mary Sue territory. Hopefully now that she's not having to hide her competence they won't have to write the surrounding characters as incompetent.

Good luck with the story. I've been going through a few of my short story anthologies (Fitzgerald, Parker, etc.), and I couldn't help thinking that it must have been a great time to be a writer back when there was such a broad market for magazine short fiction. Alas, it did not last forever.

Keep in touch!
