It's very nice to hear from you, and it sounds like you're doing something really worthwhile.

Thanks for the link to the fic. That's an old favourite of mine.

I'm fine. I don't feel like I'm doing much, to be honest, though I seem to be busy all the time. ;)

You have only one life, so if your work leaves you miserable, it's the wrong work. :)
Money is important, I know that, I get depressed when I have no money... Still, finding the right balance between pay and happiness is probably best.
I keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you will find something that will make you happy.

Lol. Yeah, my girls are pretty grown up now. One started studying Physics at university, the other spent a year in Ireland but is now back, working on her A-Levels. Both have more or less purple hair, do sweet Fanny Adams in the household but are pretty delightful most of the time. :)
Little one is currently home from school because of a sick teacher and is belting out pop songs at the top of her lungs - not exactly the quiet work-free morning I had envisioned....

I have missed you, too. And I miss writing and reading fanfic and obsessing about a show and and and ...

I briefly considered writing a little Giles/Ethan Xmas schmoop (a tiny sequel to Broken English), but then I realized I have so many things to do and my home looks like a pigsty... and bam! inspiration fizzled...

Happy Holidays to you and yours!

I am now teaching German to refugees from Syria and Iraq (pays badly but on time and feels highly rewarding - my students are lovely people).

Good for you.

Thank you, dear!
I am glad to "have" my refugees. It's fun teaching them, they are so very motivated. :D
