I'm with you. In August, my representative, Peter DeFazio, had a town hall meeting, which the "angry people" basically hijacked. ( I wrote about it here.) They repeatedly interrupted him, refusing to allow him or anyone else to talk about anything else. There were people who had gone to that meeting, hoping to talk about other issues (such as improving health care or trying to get the railroad to not use toxic pesticides), but they were drowned out by the pro-impeachment folks, who absolutely refused to shut up. I was so very, very angry at them by the time the meeting was over. I thought these impeachment protesters had been very childish and very selfish.

In the unlikely event that the pro-impeachment folks get their way, what happened at that meeting would occur at a larger scale. If Congress seriously took up impeachment, you could basically forget them taking up anything else. Everyone's attention would be consumed by impeachment.
