So because I've got doctors who are all over my medical issues like white on rice, I'm having a lot of tests.  Last week I had an endoscopy (EGD) and an MRCP (MRI of the common bile duct), followed by a procedure.  This week, is even more fun-filled ( Read more... )

Not today, but I am well familiar with the gastric emptying study! The eggs taste way funky, but the hardest part was not moving at all for the duration of the test. Well, that and boredom while it was going on.

I had another nuclear medicine study years ago (which is how we discovered my gall bladder had stopped functioning). But that didn't require eating anything. Yuck.

(I figured you had been through the study before. Oh, and now I'm on Domperidone... I think it might actually be helping. I ate and kept down half a bagel last night!)

As I recall, I had my gastric emptying study during Pesach. I wasn't concerned about general kashrut, but chometz and am pretty sure I got an answer similar to yours.

The eggs were kind of salty and metallic tasting. Just...weird.

I believe you already know how much I ♥ my domperidone. It lets me eat without being miserable and it doesn't make me stupid like the other pill did.

I hope this gets you an answer and that you can start normalizing your food intake again soon.
