disaster averted

I was supposed to see a doctor at Johns Hopkins at the end of October. A week or so before the appointment, I got a call from the department assistant telling me that they needed to cancel the appointment because the doctor was out sick for an indefinite time. I anticipate being told that I have exhausted my nonsurgical options - leaving two options: pyloraplasty (not a great option since the botox wasn't a miracle cure) and a gastric neurostimulator. First, however, I expect that they will re-run all the tests that were already done just to confirm for themsleves that I really do have gastroparesis. Because, you know, no other hospital could possibly get accurate results.

thats so funny because as I was reading this I was telling my husband that bais yaakov called me today... we had had shoshi's kindergarten interview (yes, really) scheduled for dec 14. made arrangements at work, great. got a call the day before cancelling and we rescheduled for that friday. re-made plans at work apologizing profusely along the way. on our way there friday I get a call the rabbi is out sick. REALLY?????? so I told her she better give me a time that works for ME this time so we rescheduled for tomorrow since I have off for christmas. she called today. hi this is judy from bais yaakov. im like uh oh.
she was calling to confirm the appointment :-)
yay for confirmed appointments!!!
