I went to a Pivot Point school.
They used Dermalogica, which is definately not my favorite, but the training was really good. I'd recommend it.

there are CIDESCO schools in the US. there are only a few of them, but it's basically your Ph.D. in Esthetics. It's very highly looked upon. It's a 2 year program if you're just starting or you can work as an esthitician for x amount of years then attend a vigerous training class and get certified that way. It leans a little more towards the medical side of esthetics, though.

also, in school, you Do learn microderms and peels. I would recommend Paul Mitchell
