( .032 ) Some rants

Nov 20, 2010 13:02

I passed the first selection of German Olympiad - Provincial Level. Quite proud about it, considering how many students have prepared better than me. I did a few mistakes in listening and also answered one wrong in the reading part, but thankfully my writing comes in helpful and boosts my points. I'll try to be more careful next time. I'm just ( Read more... )

GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK. I hope you make it *-*

How could he be angry just because you asked him to speak Indonesian? It's not a big deal, especially if you're both native speakers. Maybe he felt insulted that you couldn't understand his English? People are so weird. /hugs.

And what's wrong with wearing the Cross? Asking the administration to implement policy like that is just going to stir up trouble. And you're right the Muslim majority is just going to get blamed for it.

ALSO I NEED TO HAVE YOU ON TWITTER? :P Mine's souslelys!

THANKS♥ ;u;

I don't know. It seems to me that many people here find our native language boring though, so they probably use English just to make them look cool? Yeah, I don't know whether I find this tiresome or funny.

Yep, just why can't some people think about it that way and actually take the consequence into consideration.

I agree with you 100%. No language is better than another one, it's just how people communicate with one another. I'd love to learn other languages, but I think I'm too old? I know enough French to get by though.

About the teachers...Wow. No comment, you'd think teachers would be more open.

Every language is equal. I can't bring myself to understand why some people refuse to use their native language just because they think it's not cool. .__. Ahaha, learning language is currently my biggest passion. I take English and German for my foreign language classes... though I don't really like my English class because the teacher herself doesn't even know the difference between noun, adjective, and verb. I have no idea why she could become an English teacher.

Some teachers here are no better than the anarchists out there. Sigh.

We don't really have that here. The English tend to hate the French and vice versa. But yeah, I can understand.

I don't mind talking in both languages. I also can understand a little when someone uses Japanese. I think it's fine as long as one can understand each other.

I hate this kind of problem; when someone cannot tolerate someone who is different from them. People should appreciate each other. Any religion would never teach discrimination towards other people. This could be the start of a war between religions.

I actually don't mind either, except when I can't... get what he's talking about. When he could've used Indonesian to point out what he wanted to say, I think he should have done so instead of making me confused. But yeah, I agree with you.

I wish they would just stop being ignorant. And do they even think the consequence? Seriously, I don't get why they even dare doing so.

First off, CONGRATULATIONS~! ♥

I don't see why he should feel so butthurt about you wanting him to speak Indonesian. I mean, you're both Indonesian, what's wrong with that? :T Honestly, if majority of the people I interact with online can understand Filipino, I'd talk more often in my own language. It's something to be proud of, having your own native language aside from English. And besides, talking in our own language would mean less miscommunication especially if the person you're talking to isn't that good in English. Yeah. So it's nothing to be ashamed of ♥. and besides, a lot of English-speaking people find foreign languages cool :DD /sorry if I rambled too much XD;

As for your second rant, honestly, stuff like this makes me feel disappointed at humanity. We're all equal human beings, there should be no reason for us to think one group of people is higher than another. I wish people would learn to show a little more tolerance :<.

also can I add you over at twitter? :D I'm @ichigowaffles <3

I'm sorry it took me long to reply, I was ill for the last few days ;;

Yep, THANK YOU♥

Ahaha, I see no reason to dislike our native language too. And then again, language exists for communication in the first place.

Tolerance is what we need the most right now. People here are always proud about how they say they can be tolerant, but... :/

Sure! :D Mine's @darilsheid
