Trainer [
shitty more-or-less image]
Tori was born and raised in Pallet Town, Kanto. Since she lived near the Oak Pokemon Laboratory, she'd often go there and ask Professor Oak a lot of questions about different kinds of Pokemon. She learned a lot in her childhood and the uniqueness of each species prompted her to travel the world to see every single one in person. She decided to be a Pokemon Trainer and has made it her goal to obtain all the badges, defeat the Pokemon League in every region currently known, and complete the national Pokedex. She loves all types indiscriminately and dislikes Pokemon Contests for she feels it's superficial and puts too much emphasis on "prettier" Pokemon than internal beauty. It's the main reason why she gets upset with Sasha on occasion and tends to argue with her. Tori does a good job raising, loving, and caring for her Pokemon. They're strong and healthy, and she knows it. Because of this she tends to boast sometimes about how great her teams are. She doesn't get as upset as Kandy does when she loses a battle, but because she rarely loses battles, her ego gets damaged a bit. Regardless, she still treats her team to Poffins for trying so hard. She's also interested in Pokemon history and folklore. Tori has quite a few compartments on her attire as well as her backpack for the purpose of storing things she'll need along her journey. She carries things ranging from bandaids to a tent. She is prepared for any type of situation. She's developed overall physical endurance and agility from carrying so much throughout her long journey. Her greatest wish is to be able to touch and befriend a Legendary Pokemon, all of them if possible.
Main Team
Data
Profile: Tori's starter Pokemon and most faithful companion. As a Charmander it was hard to evolve as quickly as the rest of the team so she felt inferior because she didn't want to let her Trainer down. But once she fully evolved, she became a powerhouse and does her best in battle to help her teammates, and Tori, win. She likes soaring in the skies with Tori on her back and will put herself on the line for her Trainer and the team. She gets along with them all and they have the utmost respect for her.
Attacks:
Flamethrower, Dragon Pulse, Air Slash, Smokescreen, Brick Break
Charizard
Charla.
Female.
Brave.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: She loves it when Tori goes out to the ocean because then she gets to spend time with her, as she's not too fond of the land unless it's in a battle or on ice. She has an optimistic attitude and comforts the rest of the team if they're down. She uses telepathy to speak with Tori whenever she's concerned about something or just to make conversation as they're riding the waves. Lazuli tends to be a bit naive and inquisitive, so she questions a lot of things which can get somewhat infuriating to the others.
Attacks:
Ice Beam, Surf, Body Slam, Safeguard, Water Pulse
Lapras
Lazuli.
Female.
Jolly.
Dive Ball.
Data
Profile: Needless to say he's the rambunctious troublemaker of the group and his teammates don't appreciate his pranks. He only stops if Tori starts to scold him and then he feels bad about what he's done. Regardless of his trickster tendencies, he's very loyal to her and his team, but if he doesn't like who Tori hangs around with or if somebody harasses her, he'll haunt them without remorse. He also hates to see her and the rest of the Pokemon sad so he'll try to make her laugh anyway he can.
Attacks:
Shadow Ball, Psychic, Hypnosis, Sucker Punch, Sludge Bomb
Gengar
Icabod.
Male.
Naughty.
Dusk Ball.
Data
Profile: A hard worker, Surge puts all his effort into his battling and training. He's very mild-mannered and is the only one on the team who doesn't get angry or frustrated easily. He thinks Lazuli's energetic attitude could be toned down a bit, but otherwise he gets along well with the team. He especially likes walking with Tori as she's traveling so he can see for himself why she likes it so much. He has the tendency to try and make himself look cool in front of Tori and the others.
Attacks:
Thunderbolt, Rock Smash, Quick Attack, Flash, Swift
Jolteon
Surge.
Male.
Calm.
Quick Ball.
Data
Profile: A diligent Pokemon like Surge, this Marowak takes all battles and tasks seriously. He becomes hard on himself if he loses so he tries to be as swift and cunning as possible against his opponent, even though Tori congratulates him regardless. He doesn't like Icabod because he's always messing around and will try to hit him if he's bothered by his pranks. It usually takes Lazuli, Surge, and Ryuu to calm him down. He holds high respect for Charla due to her being the starter Pokemon and leader of the whole group.
Attacks:
Bone Club, Swords Dance, Headbutt, Dig, Earthquake
Marowak
Bonesworth.
Male.
Serious.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: She's the most recent addition to Tori's team, but was welcomed with open arms nonetheless. She likes eating and has learned how to cook things from watching Tori or reading books about it. Ryuu is the mediator out of the six and though she gets frustrated if they argue, she remains understanding and willing to sort things out. Because she's so strong and big, the others try not to anger her. She likes giving group hugs, encouragement, and making snacks for everyone.
Attacks:
Dragon Claw, Hyper Beam, Dragon Pulse, Thunder Wave, Strength
Dragonite
Ryuu.
Female.
Gentle.
Ultra Ball.
Other Teammates
Data
Profile: She was the first Pokemon of Tori's to evolve. Always determined to win, sometimes Liberty would try to beat opponents on her own during double battles, which got her Trainer very frustrated and the other teammates feeling like they weren't strong enough to fight beside her. Because she's so fast, Liberty doesn't like battling alongside slow Pokemon. Regardless, she still does protect her teammates without hesitation if prompted. She enjoys flying in the sky with Tori on her back.
Attacks:
Wing Attack, Fly, Featherdance, Roost, Aerial Ace
Pidgeot
Liberty.
Female.
Adamant.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Tori found her as a Caterpie in the woods at the beginning of her journey. She was getting attacked by a few Spearow, but Tori sent her Charmander and Pidgey to fight them off. Since then, Fancyfree has tried her best to fight even if she was weak as her first stage. Because Tori rescued her, she regards her like a mother and admires both Charla and Liberty. She doesn't like Spearow or Fearow and will refuse to fight them, even in double battles.
Attacks:
Gust, Psybeam, Supersonic, Silver Wind, Bug Buzz
Butterfree
Fancyfree.
Female.
Docile.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Empress was Tori's powerhouse when she was in the team. Her maternal instincts led her to worry about the rest when she evolved, but as a Nidoran, she was rather childish. She was a substitute Water Pokemon for Tori since it would be a while until she had been able to catch one, but Empress didn't mind. She's good with teamwork but will smack around the males in her team if they were goofing off. She dislikes Gary's Nidoking.
Attacks:
Body Slam, Earthpower, Water Pulse, Brick Break, Toxic
Nidoqueen
Empress.
Female.
Bold.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Tori spent a lot of her time at Mt. Moon trying to catch her as a Clefairy. She met her when she stole the lunch the Trainer had prepared for herself, and upset, chased after her. Using Charmander, she was able to capture the pink terror. Starstruck is playful but she also gets serious when she battles. She likes when Tori sings to her but isn't allowed to walk alongside her when they're in a city because she has a habit of stealing things from shops, leading Tori to either pay for things she didn't want or apologize to the manager. Starstruck gets along well with Icabod. Bonesworth gets headaches when they cause mischief together.
Attacks:
Cosmic Power, Body Slam, Meteor Mash, Psychic, Strength
Clefable
Starstruck.
Female.
Impish.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Petals is rather happy that she evolved into a Vileplume from a Gloom. Because of how horrid her stench was prior final evolution, she didn't like to fight or even come outside her Pokeball in fear of disgusting people even though she couldn't help it. It took Tori some time, but she eventually got used to her smell, as much as it gave her nausea, but they both agreed that the best choice was to evolve her when she was good and ready, and when Tori obtained a Leaf Stone. Now she has no trouble fighting, but the gist of it is, she just prefers not to.
Attacks:
Giga Drain, Stun Spore, Sludge Bomb, Petal Dance, Razor Leaf
Vileplume
Petals.
Female.
Relaxed.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Stubborn like a bull, she refused to be captured by Tori as a Ponyta, much preferring living in the Safari Zone. When the human had kept a determined attitude to catch her even though there were plenty of other Ponyta around, she decided to give the new lifestyle a try. She burned Tori a few times because she didn't trust her, but when she showed worth as a Trainer, the flames became harmless. She's very loyal to her Trainer and likes running with her on her back, even if Tori was scared of her speed at first.
Attacks:
Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Stomp, Bounce, Double Team
Rapidash
Mercury.
Female.
Careful.
Safari Ball.
Data
Profile: Given to her by one the master of the fighting dojo in Safforn City, Tori gladly accepted him, as he was one of the younger Fighting Pokemon training there and didn't have much experience. He wasn't used to being around a girl, so he gets awkward when Tori compliments him and becomes shy when other females, whether human or Pokemon, do the same. Champ is very loyal to her and always gives his all when fighting for her and his teammates. He's not afraid to use himself as a sacrificial piece to win, but Tori switches him out before he gets carried away.
Attacks:
Mach Punch, Mega Punch, Sky Uppercut, Counter, Bullet Punch
Hitmonchan
Champ.
Male.
Brave.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: He was Tori's first Electric Pokemon and a great addition to her team. He frustrates her sometimes because he does things without thinking when she lets him out of his ball and gets in trouble. Unfortunately for her and the rest of her party, he has a temper and jumps to conclusions without understanding the situation in its entirety, but can be easily soothed with sweets. Like everyone else, he does his best to help his Trainer win, especially if his motivation are things like donuts or cookies. He thinks Bonesworth is an old man who needs to loosen up, and he teases Champ because he's younger.
Attacks:
Thunderbolt, Brick Break, Thunder Punch, Light Screen, Swift
Electabuzz
Buzzstrike.
Male.
Hasty.
Ultra Ball.
Data
Profile: Tori wasted a lot of money buying Pokeballs to capture him since he would not move out of her path on the outskirts of Celadon City, and she knew waking up a Pokemon of this size and girth would be a bad move. Realizing she was an idiot, she obtained a Heavy Ball and caught him in a snap. Slumbermump was surprised to find that he had been captured by a Trainer, but before he went on an outrage, she let him go to find more food. When he did, he was content as can be and greeted her warmly with a hug. He likes it when Tori or her other Pokemon sleep on his belly, making sure not to roll over. He may be lazy, but in battle he's quite powerful and animated.
Attacks:
Body Slam, Crunch, Brick Break, Surf, Protect
Snorlax
Slumbermump.
Male.
Lax.
Heavy Ball.
Data
Profile: As a Seel she followed Tori on the water as she was surfing on her Pokemon. She kept poking Slumbermump's belly with her horn so he began to get irritated. It was then Tori decided to capture her since she knew she wouldn't go away by mere shooing. Glacier proved to be very strong and as she was battling Tori's soon to be Lapras, she evolved into Dewgong. Needless to say she kicked her butt, earning Tori another addition to her Pokedex. She likes to do acrobatics in the water and have Tori swim by her side in the ocean. She does a lot of tricks to impress her Trainer and teammates and likes rolling around on the ice.
Attacks:
Headbutt, Ice Beam, Aqua Ring, Signal Beam, Dive
Dewgong
Glacier.
Female.
Mild.
Dive Ball.
Data
Profile: It snuck into her backpack on Cinnabar Island when she wasn't looking. She was shocked to find a Ditto there when she reached for her sandwich, only to find it had eaten the darn thing. She didn't know what to do with it because she already had six in her party, but curiosity killed the cat as it pressed a button on her Pokeball by accident and it couldn't get itself out. Tori kept it and tries not to use it in battle, but it tries hard for her regardless. Finding the Ditto a charming Pokemon, she showers it with love even if it doesn't win and it giggles in happiness. It likes cuddling with her and the other Pokemon.
Attacks:
Transform
Ditto
Squishy.
None.
Naive.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Revived from a fossil as an Omanyte, he nearly had a heart attack when he woke up in a laboratory. He was very cautious around Tori in the beginning because he didn't know what a human was, and got culture shock when he saw the rest of her team. He prefers to be by himself because all his old friends are gone, but he's slowly making new friends with the other Pokemon, and Tori herself. When he was an Omanyte, he was easily frightened by many things, but as an evolved form, he's a lot more confident and courageous. He likes the thrill of fighting after being a fossil for so long.
Attacks:
Water Pulse, Mud Shot, Ancientpower, Rollout, Withdraw
Omastar
Spiral.
Male.
Lonely.
Pokeball.
Data
Profile: Terra is another Pokemon that Tori had obtained from a fossil. She didn't react as badly as Spiral did, but she was cautious nonetheless. The girl expected her to be violent given the species, but Terra hadn't caused her any trouble when she caught her. While she is in fact a gentle Aerodactyl, she has proven to her Trainer that she's quite fierce in battle, sometimes intimidating her teammates without meaning to. She likes to be outside her ball to soar in the sky and hunt for either other species or fruit, but Tori makes sure to wait for her to return instead of searching for Terra in fear she might see carnage she doesn't want to see. Spiral is deathly afraid of her.
Attacks:
Rock Slide, Crunch, Iron Head, Fly, Scary Face
Aerodactyl
Terra.
Female.
Gentle.
Ultra Ball.
